how you can sponsor a child to go to summer camp! During their
week at camp it is just amazing to see them transform into a
child that is fully loved and fully valued. One of the boys told
us that camp was the “Children’s heaven”. Another child asked
their translator if they were in America. They had no idea that
they were only an hour away from their home.
I REALLY wish that every sponsor could come to China and meet the child they sponsor. But since that isn’t possible, we developed the next best thing. The Journey to Camp.
-Periodic updates about how the 2008 Camp is progressing and the kids who will be coming.
-A personal phone call from the child you sponsored. Their camp counselor will be with them to tell you about their time at camp.
-A match photo and short bio of your sponsored child.

Last year we bought a huge waterslide that blew up to 15 feet tall. The kids loved it and laughed and laughed as they went up and down the slide dozens of times. Complete joy! At the end of the summer, we were all a little surprised to find a child’s tooth at the bottom of the waterslide. I think the kids had so much fun that whoever went back to the orphanage missing their tooth didn’t even notice! :>)
