What is happening on May 16th?
You have the opportunity to join Chinese orphans and participate in a walk-a-thon to help raise funds for our Orphan Summer Camps in China for 2008! Attending Summer Camp is the chance of a lifetime for the orphans in China. At camp, the children are able to experience life outside of their orphanage or foster home as they enjoy a week of games, a water-park, swimming, singing, skits, character lessons, and friendship. People across America and Australia will be walking simultaneously as the children of China in order to raise $125,000 that will send 450 orphans to camp. Most international volunteers will be walking during the night as the orphans in China will be walking during the day. The event will start on May 16th at 7:00 pm PST. (10:00 PM EST)
-Where: In your neighborhood with your friends. Before the event, plan out a safe walk route in your area that takes about 1 hour.
-Cost: $25 per walker. Includes an event T-Shirt, night glow band, and toll-free dial in access for the conference call.
