Christmas lights twinkle, trees decked with family ornaments stand proudly, and party invitations and store advertisements flood our mailboxes.  Christmas time has come!  Even though our calendars for this month may look like a puzzle, we should all take time to remember those who deserve to have some sparkle in their lives during Christmas.

An adoption story—Bond Family Interview

1.      Why did you consider adoption?
We attended an informational meeting presented by the Bolt family and were touched by the incredible need for families to love these precious little ones.  After this event, we felt that God was calling us to open our arms and home to raise a little girl from China as our own.

2.      Why now?
There is a little girl somewhere in China waiting for us to bring her home and she needs a loving family now.  God has placed a special urgency in Ron’s heart which spurred him to get the paperwork process done in record time.

3.      How many kids do you have?
We have three daughters – Karissa, age 9, Katelyn, age 7 and Kylie, 23 months.

4.      What will your new daughter’s name be, and when will she come home?
Her name will be Kelli Rose Bond, and we’re hoping to travel in the spring.

5.      How has Bring Me Hope affected your adoption?
First of all, we were significantly influenced by the passion of the Bolt family even as they were laying the groundwork for this ministry.  The DVD deeply moved us to tears, and gave us a visual for what these children are missing.  Just recently, we received the first grant from Bring Me Hope that will help us bring little Kelli home.  What a blessing and an answer to prayer.  We are very grateful to all those supporting this ministry as we all strive to bring hope to one orphan at a time.

New Adoption Started—During the month of November, we heard the wonderful news that another family has decided to bring a child home from China through our efforts.  Every time we hear of a new adoption, our hearts fill with gratitude that we can be a part of another miracle.

Thirteen Camp Sponsorships Raised!!! —Summer is drawing nearer, and we are extremely grateful to those who have decided to sponsor a child to go to camp. This month, the Toledo Calvary Assembly of God gave $2,500!  Imagine the smiles that these sponsorships will bring.  If you feel that your church might be interested, please contact them!

Donate Air Miles.  We just found out that we need two airplane tickets to China in order to hand out the orphan’s Christmas wishes.  Because of the short notice, the tickets are expensive.  Let us know if you have air miles that you would like to donate.
